Jubilee Park

Jubilee Park is the first urban park to be socially owned in Liverpool, the naming came via a competition held with local schools, with the winning name ‘Jubilee Park’ of which the Sports Centre has now been rebranded linking both the Park and the Sports Centre under ‘Jubilee Sports Bank’.

Jubilee Park offers the community free open space to enjoy and relax, a raised bed sensory garden provides different smells – touch and texture, trim trail which is a small activity outdoor area , cycle/walking track provides space to learn to ride or speed walking before using the fitness suite. There is also a under 16s football pitch and a mini soccer pitch to use and hire for games, event or sports days – to assist in this we have secure outdoor changing facilities.

In addition a new entrance has been created from Brae Street and the Jubilee Drive entrance has been improved. Lighting has been installed, pathways improved and benches have been sited with a more updated CCTV system which supports the park area.
